10. The People
Everyone is friendly and loves to chat. Most live "one mile that way", "over yonder" or "right down there" and visit us 2-6 times a day!
9. Giant Pantry
Imagine a dream refrigerator stocked with every drink you could want. Shelves filled with all kinds of snacks and grocery items. Just take what you need and head for the kitchen. Want rice krispy treats? We've got marshmellows and cereal. Want a chili dog? Go grab a pack of hot dogs and a can.
8. No Traffic
When it's time for the morning commute, you just walk through "the Door" and you're there.
7. Peace and Quiet
The view from our front porch is a horse farm. Lots of green and wide open spaces. Out back it's private and park-like.
6. Indulges our OCD
For two people who can be anal retentive, it's very satisfying to go row by row and front face the products. I know it sounds sick, but we love to straighten the boxes, cans and bottles.
5. It's a Project
Nathan and I seem to thrive on projects. We work well together at researching opportunities and decisions. There is so much to be done. It's project paradise. Every corner holds another little project.
4. Yahoo Lottery
When you cash a winning lottery ticket, it makes a fun "Wahoo" noise. I know, it's the little things.
3. No shirt, no shoes.... no problem.
I've seen more farmer tans than I care to comment about and ewwww, some serious grocery store feet!
2. Beer is Here
Nathan's beer permit has led to instant popularity with the beer drinking locals who had to drive at least 15 minutes to get their fix before beer filled our coolers. I guess you could say we're providing community service and cutting down on the number of drunks drivers on I-40.
