Our French Bulldog Pete is an interesting little creature. Part dog, part pig. Lazy, yet demanding. Whiney, self-important, and gassy. Last night after we all climbed in bed, Pete grumbled and grunted his way up between Nathan and me. Usually he roots his way under the covers then points his rear in our direction, but last night he leaned over and gave Nathan a little kiss on the cheek, then turned and gave me one, too. It was a sweet little moment from our usually Grumple-Boy Pete.
I think Pete is for Obama. The other night I was flipping channels and the DNC came on during Obama's speech. Pete's head snapped up and he stared at the TV with great interest. Maybe he relates to Obama since they're both black and have prominent ears.
